    On Thursday, April 28, the Bank of Malta celebrated 50 years of service to the Malta community with an open house. Cake, cookies, and punch were served to a very well attended celebration. The bank also celebrated many of the longtime employees and those that were there at the beginning.     During the latest Malta City Council meeting on April 26, Delsi and Eric Witmer asked the council for permission to hang Hometown Hero Banners on the light poles around town. The couple will be taking orders for the banners soon. “When we lived back east, many towns had Hometown Hero signs all over.     We had heavy rain on Tuesday night and there were puddles in all the low places on Wednesday morning.     Both the Mustangs and M-ettes golf teams had a busy week last week with three golf meets attended and one canceled. On Monday, April 25, the teams were in Fort Benton.
