Malta Mayor Shyla Jones announced at last Tuesday’s City Council Meeting that the Malta City Pool is tentatively scheduled to begin operation June 6 (though it could be pushed back to the 8th) and that, as of now, the pool will be run out of the City Office instead of hiring a pool manager for the summer season. Dear Editor, As the dust settles from all the changes at Hi-Line Retirement Center over the past few weeks, it’s time to reflect on the past, and look to the future. What happened to create the financial difficulties that the facility is experiencing? What interventions are needed to insure long term survivability of the Hi-Line? Dear Editor, Today when I went to the Post Office in Dodson, I was greeted with a sad sight. I was given a big gift certificate to Guinan's Flowers in Billings for Mother's Day and used some of it to buy flowers to put in two pots in front of the Post Office to make it look nice. Carol Smith, our PM, also helped me fix up the beds in front of the Post Office with two bushes, and the rest was filled with rocks to make a rock garden. Australia, Switzerland, and Canada visitors walked through the PC Museum’s doors this week. Genealogy was on the top of the list for the Australian couple. They were researching the names Groder and Orke.
