The Phillips County Crop Tours will be held beginning on Monday, July 20 at the Mortenson Farm north of Wagner starting at 5 p.m., with First State Bank hosting. In their final meeting of June, the Malta City Council heard about mosquitoes, the Municipal Pool being readied for the swimming season, and that literal tons of trash and junk were hauled away from residences during the City’s Clean-up Days. Gloria Mortenson, 86, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at the Hi-Line Retirement Center in Malta, Mont. A graveside service was on Saturday, July 11 at 10 a.m. at the Hillside Cemetery in Dodson. Gloria was born at home on January 26, 1934, in DeLamere, N.D., to Palmer and Borghild Foley.
