    The Malta Mustangs hosted their annual Mustangs Football camp last Monday, July 24 through Thursday July 27. The event featured twenty-five football players that saw plenty of time on the field that week.     The 2017 Marian Hills Golf Open Golf Tournament featured twenty-one teams despite the hot and dry weather conditions last Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30.     The Phillips County Fair is upon us and the pig judging will be held on Thursday, August 3. One 4-H member's pig project started unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 1. Brenda Murdock Kornfeld of Loring was farrowing yet another sow in hopes of having enough piglets for 4-H members requesting them. In early March a well bred show sow was farrowing unsuccessfully.     Though it doesn't garner as big a crowd as the demolition derby or rodeo events, the first event of the Phillips County Fair is already in the books.     The Malta Swim team took twenty swimmers to last week's Eastern Divisional Meet in Sidney and seventeen of those swimmers will be swimming in the State Meet this weekend in Lewistown.
