    The North Country Mavericks defended the Whitewater High School gym with pride last Saturday as they smashed the Lustre Christian Lions in three sets. The scores were 25-18, 25-13 and 25-14. The team was led in kills by Mickayla Johnson, who had eight of the team's 20. Jada Sudbrack led in aces with eight. The team had 19 total.
