The Malta P.E.O. Chapter AK held a special meeting in September to initiate three new members, Rhonda McLaughlin, Deanna Arnold, and Colleen Cluck. Like most organizations, Covid made its meetings and operations difficult. Because of that money for our scholarships lagged. Carol Frances (Seaford) Williams, 84, went to be with the Lord on October 21, 2022. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM at St Mary's Catholic Church, and burial at the Landusky Cemetery at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Born at home in Ragtown, a mining town north of Landusky on August 29, 1938, she was the 3rd child of Charlie and Anna (Hellie) Seaford. There were volleyball games Thursday evening, then there were basketball games on Friday. Harlem and Dodson were the opponents. We were really surprised to wake up Sunday morning to our first snowstorm of the season & very cold temperatures. We were sorry to hear of the death of Danny Williams' wife, Carol. Last weekend the weather was cool and windy. When Monday came around the weather was perfect fall days through Thursday! On their 100th year of football, The Malta Mustangs Football team ended the regular season as the 2022 Northern B Division Conference Champions, a title that they also won in 2021. The Mustangs earned this year's title by going 8-1 overall and more importantly 5-0 in conference games. Glasgow earned the second spot in the North with a 4-1 record in the conference. The Whitewater Penguins and Dodson Coyotes Cross Country teams competed at the 2022 State C Cross Country Meet in Missoula. Shelby LaBrie led the Penguins with a third place finish. LaBrie finished seventh in the 2021 State C Meet. This year LaBrie was joined in the top ten by teammate Samantha Wisher who was eighth with a time of 20:52.
