Malta native and Air Force pilot, Major Tory Lodmell, had the experience of the lifetime last month as he went underway with his older brother, Commander Lacy Lodmell, on the USS OREGON. The Lodmell brothers were born and raised in Malta to local natives Larry Lodmell and Terry Lodmell. While they both worked hard on the family farm, each longed for adventures that would inevitably take them far from the hi-line. Lacy initially enlisted in the US Navy after his first semester at MSU Bozeman...

On Monday, October 31, little goblins, cute spooks and bloody-mouth vampires converged on the Veteran's Park in number. Independence Bank hosted their 2022 Happy Halloween Spooktacular and decorated the gazebo at the park. Little kids, big kids, families including grandpa and grandma-ma, took turns in the scene that was set. Some were happy and some, not so much. • New Election Cycle, Same Tired Refrain

    Parker Heinlein, Outdoors Columnist|Nov 2, 2022

Apparently desperate times call for desperate measures. Montana Supreme Court candidate James Brown (not the King of Soul) has recently started warning us that President Biden is coming for our jobs and our guns. It’s a tired refrain. Someone has been coming for my guns as long as I can remember, and I still have them. I’m tired of waiting. I don’t think anyone is actually coming. But for all the redneck gun owners out there who have little grasp of history or who haven’t been paying attenti...

  • Phillips County Museum News for Wednesday, November 2, 2022

    Krista Fahlgren, P. C. Museum Staff|Nov 2, 2022

Did you know the man with the monkey? He went to work for the AAA and Milk River Resettlement Administration until that project was completed, at which point he ope...
