"We have a window on the east side of the building and the west side and they were both broken out," said Mayor Cole. "Both windows have two pains and every single one was broken." Cole said that there were no...

  • I Give Thanks ... lots of it

    Parker Heinlein, Outdoor Columnist|Dec 3, 2014

Today I give thanks. And while I’m thankful first of all for family and friends, I’m also thankful for the little things. I’m thankful when the hard-breathing dog I’ve sent into the cattails to retrieve a rooster goes silent. It means he has a bird in his mouth. There’s always a moment of apprehension when you swing on a bird, squeeze the trigger, and watch it plummet into thick cover. Pheasants have a habit of crashing spectacularly, only to hit the ground running. You hate to leave a wounded...

  • Dodson News for December 3, 2014

    Eldora Henry|Dec 3, 2014

Polly Solberg took Selma Miller to lunch on Friday. Vandalism in Dodson----- It is so sad, especially in this holiday season and against our little struggling town, that Mayor Cole reported someone viciously broke ALL the windows out of the City Hall, leaving it open to the harsh elements we are having. That anyone could hate Dodson so much that they would live here and do so much damage is so sad for a sick mind. Especially since all evidence reportedly points to other than younger kids behind...
