The National Honor Society of Malta recently donated $100 to the Montana Wildfire Relief Fund. The organization also did a Krispy Kreme Doughnut fundraiser. This money was then split evenly between the Angel Program and the Montana Wounded Warrior Project. Each program will receive $350. Mrs. Barbara Galt, the advisor for the Honor Society, was very pleased with the efforts of the members of the Malta Chapter. The Dodson Coyotes are looking to turn things around after having two wins in the 2017-18 season, which was an improvement from the previous two seasons, where the team did not post a win against varsity teams. The Malta Wrestling Team was able to secure the Northern B Divisional Title last season, while also qualifying ninth for the 2017 State B-C Wrestling Tournament in Billings last year. Three of those wrestlers went on to place at state as now senior Trey Simanton took third place in the 138-pound weight class and fellow senior Kaden Moore took fifth at 132 while junior Kolter Schipman took sixth in the 120 class.
