Phillips County 4-H Demonstration Day

The annual Phillips County 4-H Demonstration Day was held in the Malta Library basement on April 13, 2014. There were five 4-H youth who participated in a demonstration or an illustrated talk. Senior member Riley Mortenson gave a demonstration on "Soft, Smooth and Silky". She received a red ribbon. Participating in the Advance Junior division with demonstrations were: Raina Mortenson with "It's Time to Learn Obedience", Parker Mortenson with "Shear It, Wash It, Spin It", and Pierce Mortenson with "Clean It Up." Parker and Pierce received a blue ribbon and Raina took home a red ribbon. Parker Mortenson received the overall plaque sponsored by Dick and Doreen Dale. In the Beginning Junior division Danie Rhodes gave an illustrated talk on "Phobias". Danie received a blue ribbon along with the overall plaque sponsored by Rocking M7 Ranch/Terry Martin. A big thank you goes out to our judges this year: Lori Meeks, Michelle Smith and Jackie Sorlie.
