One Nation, Under God

Loring News for week of June 4, 2014

The Whitewater track team has returned from the State meet. The competitors were Kourtney Simonson, Keira Simonson and Jeret Warren. They all had personal best records and actually broke a few school records. Congratulations Penguins! Their coaches were Heather Simonson and Char Wasson.

Colt Kornfeld, son of Brenda and Greg Kornfeld, won second in team roping, fourth in Breakaway roping, first in Boys goat tying, third in Ribbon Roping, fourth in Chute Dogging, and third in Jr. Bull riding and All Around Cowboy in the Saskatchewan Jr. High School Rodeo Finals. Great season, Colt!

Dixie Stordahl spent a few days with her grand kids in Billings. It was a great way to end the month of May!

Kourtney Simonson is participating in Montana Girls State June 2 through June 6 in Helena!

Cindy and Dave Clark and Carol Lumsden attended the Montana Lutheran Synod meetings in Billings this past weekend.

Rick Tuttle of the Sidney area visited his cousin Barbara Cowan at the Hi-Line Retirement Center Memorial Day.

I noticed on my drive to and from Billings that the countryside is so beautiful with the green ditches and prairie with the wild flowers blooming. Let’s work together to keep our roads and ditches free of litter and other garbage. If something falls out of your vehicle on the way to the dump, stop and pick it up on your way back home. Thanks!
