Myra "Lucille" Cummings

MALTA-Myra "Lucille" Cummings, 96, a homemaker, died Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at the Hi-Line Retirement Center of natural causes.

Myra "Lucille" (Clark) Cummings was born May 10, 1918 at Saco, the daughter of Ben and Catherine (Martin) Clark. She was raised and educated in Saco. She married Newton E. Cummings on July 2, 1936 in Kalispell. They lived in the Regina area farming and moving houses. From there they moved to Zortman where they had a repair shop and garage. Then back to Malta where they had a mail route and she cooked for many years in local restaurants. After retiring they lived in Saco. Mom loved to cook for company. She was very good at quilting and crocheted Afghans up until she couldn't see any more.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Newt; two sister and one brother; son, Richard and son-in-laws, Glenn Hoover and Bill Nace; grandson, Shane Nace.

She is survived by sons, George (Myrna) Cummings, Bruce Cummings, Clark (Gail) Cummings all of Malta, Tom (Margie) Cummings of Grass Range, Glen (Jackie) Cummings of Plains; daughters, Ethel Hoover of Ronan, Loretta Haynes of Billings, Janice (Craig) Mitchell of Malta; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
