Twelve Phillips County Youths to receive awards and prizes at Town Hall Meeting on July 8th

Phillips County Coalition for Healthy Choices will be awarding prizes to 12 talented students from Malta, Saco and Whitewater, during a Town Hall meeting Tuesday, July 8th at 7pm at the Phillips County Coalition for Healthy Choices.

The Phillips County Coalition for Healthy Choices was awarded a grant through the Montana Board of Crime Control to hold a local contest for the National “Above the Influence” Campaign.

Youth in grades 6th -12th were encouraged to create an “Above the Influence” T-shirt logo using the theme of what inspires the participants to stay above the influence of alcohol. A total of 50 students submitted their creative artwork which was on display at their local schools.

First place logo design winners Hannah Anderson, Alana Ostrom, Vanessa Mann and Victoria Adams will be awarded a 10” Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and accessories. Second Place prizes of $100 Radio Shack gift cards will be given to: Teal Martell, Challise Young, Brita Giblette, and Amanda Mummey. Third Place $50 Radio Shack gift cards will go to: Hope Lawless, Jada Sudbrach, Emmy Doucette, and Emilie Carrillo.

Door Prizes with the top four winning logos will be given out at the event which is open to the community. The awards presentation will take place in the upstairs auditorium of the Phillips County Coalition for Healthy Choices building located at 101 South 7th Street West.
