One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for the Week of July 16, 2014

There was a “tent revival” and Vacation Bible School by the Whitewater Independent Baptist Church here last week. Those helping were the Wisher family, Pastor Mike and Karen Davis and daughter of South Carolina, J. R. and Karen Cross of North Carolina, and Morris and Teeny Sherlin of Havre.

There has been Bible school with many children daily. The school bus has picked up children for classes and lunch was served for them.

Linda Berg had an operation in Billings. We all pray for her and give her Get Well wishes.

This is still the old west. My cat was shot and killed recently. That is so sad. Guess life goes on.

Bobby and Pat Anderson returned from the Jones family reunion in Libby, Mt. There were about 80 people there. Families came from Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California, Alaska, Canada and various places in Montana. The reunion was June 25-27, 2014. A good time was had by all.

Fred Allery Sr. and I had a visit and reminisced about our families and Whitewater in the past. He told that his sister, Marlene Doney, was in Washington visiting family. The Allerys live on Whitewater Creek. Fred still has and owns a few horses. I asked him if he rode much. Fred said, “No, the horses are pets. If you don’t have horses you don’t have anything.” How do you like that car owners?
