Arrangements have been made with Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook. Condolences for the family may be left at http://www.edwardsfuneralhomemt.com.

Mark was born on January 26, 1960 in Havre, Montana to Gordon and Sharon Haugen, the third of four children. Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and anything to do with being outdoors. He graduated from Malta High School in 1978 and received a football scholarship to attend Eastern Montana College.

On December 12, 1981, he married Billie R. Zier in Malta. They moved to Chinook in 1985 where they proceeded to raise three children. Mark spent many years farming and ranching south of Chinook. He finished off his career with a variety of jobs some of which took him out of state, but he always returned to Chinook which was his home.

Mark was very active in the community, as a member of the Eagles Club, the Rod and Gun Club, and Boy Scouts before that. He loved working in his shop and always had a project in progress for his home or for other folks in the community. Mark always lent a helping hand when one was needed. He is dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Mark was proceeded in death by his son Chad Haugen, mother Sharon Haugen, his immediate grand folks, Mark and Ruth Haugen and Bob and Alene Walen.

Mark is survived by his wife Billie, his two children Will and Shaylan, his grandchildren Brooklynn, Harley, and Bridger Haugen, his father Gordon (Linda) Haugen, his brothers Mike (Denise) and Matt (Lori) Haugen, his sister Linda(Tom) Tangen and several nieces and nephews.
