One Nation, Under God

Loring News for week of August 6, 2013

Wow, August already! The Phillips County Fair is a recent memory. I enjoyed it this year and am planning to make the 100th anniversary next year!

Many trophies were won by the 4H kids in this community! Congratulations on the wonderful projects! And the hamburgers were delicious as usual!

A special area has been designated as a memorial to Paul Johannesen in Loring. A shade tree and an apple tree are planted and a bench has been placed so whoever enjoys it can see the firehall, church and Loring hall which Paul spent a lot of hours on. We all miss him.

Dee Arndt has been staying at the Cowan place for a few days. Her son Chris Arndt played on the free stage at the PCFair with the Bad Larrys. The band played at the HiLine Retirement Center on Saturday morning for Grandma Barbara Cowan and the rest of the residents.

I was in Billings last weekend and Monday so I missed putting the news in for that week. Sorry. But you have me for this week.

Ember and Emilee Phillips were home over the weekend to see many of their friends at the PCFair! It was wonderful seeing them and meeting the new addition to Emilee’s family!

Best wishes to our Young Distinguished Women of Phillips County. Kourtney Simonson and Kaycee Howard are on their way to Cut Bank to the State competition as I write this! Have an awesome week, Girls!
