Senior Dinner Meals

Thursday, October 16th - Meatballs in gravy

Friday, October 17th - Salmon

Tuesday, October 21st - Beef Stroganoff

Starting in November, we will be celebrating Senior birthdays of those born in the current month. The date will be announced in this menu. We will draw for a 10 meal ticket prize - you must attend the birthday celebration dinner to be eligible.

Great Plains Dinosaur Museum

The Great Plains Dinosaur Museum will be open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. through October. The Great Plains Dinosaur Museum will close on Sundays and Mondays.

Child Find

The Bear Paw Cooperative, through your local school district, assists in the provision of special education and related services to children with disabilities. Through a process called Child Find, your local school district accepts referrals, provides evaluation and special education for children ages 3-18 years if they qualify. Please contact your local school district or the Bear Paw Cooperative at 406-357-2269.

Villa Theatre

10-16. When the Games Stands Tall will be shown at the Villa Theater at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, October 16.

Montana Veteran Affairs

10-16. Judy Loendorf and/or Steve Mulonet, Service Officers for Montana Veteran Affairs Division, will be in Malta at a new time at the Phillips County Hospital Conference Room from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 16.

Christmas Scrip Deadline

10-17. Malta Chamber Members wanting to be included in the Christmas Scrip Program need to have their fee paid by Friday, October 17. The Scrip Program kicks off with the Octoberfest promotion on October 30. Contact Don Nevrivy if you have any questions.

Malta Trails Hike

10-18. Malta Trails will be holding a Zortman Fall Hike on Saturday, October 18. Approximately 2-3 miles; Meet at Buff’s Day Camp near Camp Creek Camping area at 10 a.m. Easy beautiful fall foliage hike. Dress for the weather. Questions contact Laura @ 390-3460.

PCMS meeting

10-18. The Phillips County Motor Sports will meet on Saturday, October 18, at noon in Stretch’s Casino room. Year-end business, 2015 race dates and more is on the agenda.

Malta Dirt Daubers

10-18. Malta Dirt Daubers invites the public to the dedication ceremony of the Blue Star Memorial plaque. The ceremony will be held on Sat. Oct. 18 2:30 p.m. at the entrance rest area to Trafton Park. Following the ceremony a social hour will be held at the VFW Hall. The Blue Star Memorial honors those who have served and are now serving in the US armed forces.

Kiwanis Soup Labels

10-18. Attention Malta Kiwanis Members and friends: We will meet on Saturday, October 18 at 9:30 a.m. at Malta Elementary School to sort, pack, and ship Campbell Soup labels. This project earns school and art supplies for the students. On Tuesday, October 21 Kiwanis will meet at the Boys and Girls Club at 6:00 p.m. to serve a potluck dinner for a special community service project.

Malta Parent-Teacher Conferences

10-29. Parent-Teacher Conferences are Wednesday, October 29 for Malta High and Middle School. There will be no school for students on the day. Conferences for Middle School are from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. and noon until 4 p.m. No scheduled appointment is necessary. Parents please pick up student report cards at the offices.
