One Nation, Under God

Loring News for week of December 3, 2014

Several turkeys did not make it through November!

Chad and Jordan Staton were visiting Mark Lageson for a few days. They did some hunting while here! Chad graduated from Whitewater High School in ‘90 I think.

Gale and Leroy Simonson entertained on Thanksgiving Day! Local family and family from afar enjoyed the dinner.

The Johannesen’s had a Thanksgiving dinner at the Loring Hall. They traditionally have a huge family gathering over Thanksgiving weekend. This year was no different!

The weather has taken a sharp dip. We had 50 degrees one day and below zero the next day! Keep a blanket, jumper cables, and your cell phone in your car in case of car trouble.

I noticed a pheasant hen eating with the sharp tail grouse this week. A true thanksgiving feast!

On Saturday afternoon the sundogs were beautiful! I’ve never seen them so large. So is there a weather superstition about them?
