Headline: Finishing what great grandma started

More than half a century later, Anita Green of Wagner has finished what her great grandmother started in 1952.

With some help from her friends.

Green last week was displaying what might be called a genealogy quilt to friends at Malta Elementary.

What's unique about the quilt is that the quilt top was started in 1952 by her great grandmother, Mary Jane (Smith) Edwards.

Work on the original quilt halted when Green's great grandmother had a stroke.
