One Nation, Under God

Malta Chamber of Commerce News for week of November 25, 2015

We here at the Malta Area Chamber are thrilled to start working with the PCN and giving you regular updates on what is going on.

The last few weeks have been busy for our Malta Merchants committee as they launched the annual Scrip program and Chamber buttons, as well as preparing for weekly holiday Late Night Openings, starting on November 30. The committee worked hard to find ways to highlight all of the offerings and gift ideas that are available here in town and hope that you choose to Shop Local!

At our November Member’s meeting we welcomed Tulips and Treasures to the Chamber. They are the unique flower and gift shop south of town on Rt. 191. Our other meeting business was to vote for the first Chamber Person of Influence Awardee. Watch the PCN for an announcement on who was the very deserving awardee.

At each meeting we highlight one of our members and give them a chance to speak to us about something beneficial. Our speaker this month was Eryn Nissen from Bear Paw Economic Development in Havre. We chatted about Bear Paw’s strategies and gave our input on what we feel are valuable projects for our area. If you have some input for Bear Paw, please contact the Chamber office.

We would like to include a tip with each article. With the holidays here, it’s easy to get overwhelmed at business or at home with all that needs to be done. You may want to consider a holiday calendar. It seems simple but taking 30 minutes to put all your important events and deadlines on one calendar, either a paper one or an online one, can certainly help alleviate some of the stress!
