One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for December 2, 2015

The weather has been cold – day and night – but we have not had a lot of snow. It has been windy some days that makes the cold penetrate.

Thanksgiving was a beautiful but cold day. There was a large crowd for the special dinner cooked by the girls at the Wapthatu Center. People brought all kinds of salads, desserts, etc. Dora Henry and Polly Solberg were there to sample the goodies.

Bill Henry got a large elk on Thanksgiving morning and he stopped to visit his mom, Dora, on his way home.

Kelly Leys of Belgrade visited his grand mom Dora and had supper with her on Saturday. She also brought her winter coat back that she had forgotten at Whitehall. It just might be needed.

Polly Solberg went to church in Harlem with Orvin Solberg as there were no services in Dodson.

Wink and Terri Cole visited kids and families over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Teri Leys and Bill Henry visited at their mom’s, Dora, on Sunday after pulling their hunting trailer up to be taken home. Teri stayed overnight so she was traveling in the daylight with the trailer.

Hope everyone had a safe and joyous Thanksgiving!

We send anniversary greetings to Robert and Patti Dolphay and a special day to everyone having a birthday this week.

The smartest advice on raising children is to enjoy them while they are still on your side.

Remember to dress warm, walk and drive safely and enjoy each day!
