Loring News for week of January 27, 2016

Last week two sweethearts celebrated 70 years of wedded bliss! Earl and Marie Wasson celebrated at the HLRC with family. Those in attendance included Linda Hoover of Havre, Alan and Connie Wasson, TJ Wasson, Marla Sisco, George and Bonita Ashby, Mary and Harvey Smith and Aggie Erickson! That is quite an achievement! Congratulations!

Dixie Stordahl, Lu Besel, and Pastor Bob traveled together to watch the game in Dodson! It was a great time!

Carmen Norville and girls of Whitehall were here over the weekend. So Pete and Carol got their granddaughter fix! Carmen works a few days at the physical therapy dept. in the hospital.

Colleen and Lowell Hallock of Manhattan visited at the Matt and Heather Simonson household to attend the ball games in Dodson, Saco, and Winifred.Trace's team the North Country Mavericks had a clean sweep this weekend!

The Loring Woman’s Club met at the Cindy Clark home on Wednesday. The Valentine’s Day party was the main topic of discussion.

Dixie Stordahl visited with Barbara Cowan and Dorothy Johnson on Sunday.

The weather was so beautiful on Saturday that the sparrows had a concert! The snow was just right for snowman building and snowball fights! I did neither!

Ray McMullen was the guest of honor at his 80th birthday party at the Loring Hall! It was a fun day of visiting and reminiscing. All nine of Ray's children were there, some with spouses, kids and grandkids! I enjoyed seeing everyone!
