One Nation, Under God

This job is legit

I never have been a fan of writing.

That being said, I love my job for a number of reasons. I am a fan of sports. I love photography. I love trying to be a positive influence in the lives of students. Every once in a while I get a chance to travel. I also love meeting new people.

I found a new reason for loving my job. Every once in a while you meet someone famous.

My first experience was meeting Brian Urlacher last year in Great Falls.

Last weekend I met a news anchor I see almost every morning named Becky Hillier at the State Wrestling Tournament in Billings.

It was great meeting her because she was as nice as she seems on the air at 5 a.m. on Wake Up Montana.

I don't know if it's weird, lucky or just observant that I knew it was her from seeing the back of her head, but I'm glad when I said "hey Becky," it was her.

If I had a dollar for every time I thought I have ran into someone I knew and was wrong, I would be out of school loan debt.

In this instance, I was right. Then I was hoping that I didn't freak her out by the excitement I was exuding.

Right before I met her I drank a normal cup of coffee and then a $5 cup of coffee made by Mountain Mudd Espresso, so I was a little hyper and legitimately star-struck so I'm glad I didn't freak her out.

We talked about a few things and then took a few pictures together.

Little did I know that she would give me a huge shout out at the end of the pro-gram! It was my 25 seconds of fame!

No, I'm not famous, but I have met a few famous people during my time working with the PCN.

Another cool thing I've learned about Hillier via Google is that she was Miss Montana in 1988.

The only beauty queen I've ever stood by before Hillier was my wife, though oddly enough I've gone to school everyday with a lady who won "America's Next Top Model."

He name, if you are intrigued, is Jaslene Gonzalez.
