One Nation, Under God

Anne Greiner

ZORTMAN-Anne Greiner 71 died February 29, 2016 at her home. No services at this time. Condolences for the family may be left at http://www.kirkwoodfuneralhome.com.

Anne Greiner was born July 25, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, but she spent much of her childhood wintering in Colorado and summering in the lake country of Minnesota where she gained her love of the Lord, nature, and all creatures tame or wild. Anne learned her artistic talents from her mother, her ingenuity from her father, her cooking talents from her grandmother, and her love of music, nature, and animals from her grandfather. She carried these lessons in her heart as she traveled throughout the United States and parts of the Middle East. She passed down these loves and lessons to her daughters.

Anne loved driving a school bus for special needs children, and while chocolate and horses were amongst her favorite earthly possessions, above all else Anne Greiner loved the Lord God Almighty, and spread His word wherever there were open ears. Anne was resourceful and independent, yet she delighted in ministering to and assisting those who were less fortunate.

Anne believed that the best medicine, besides God and chocolate, was laughter, and she would go out of her way to share a joke or a story of self-embarrassment to brighten someone's heart and bond through humor. Now at "Home" and in peace.

Anne is survived by both her parents Jack Greiner and Letitia Lane, her sister Judie Blumenhein, her two daughters Muna Lane and Layla Watkins, and three grandchildren Summer Galbraith, and Kara and Gavin Watkins.
