Conservation District asks for 'yes' vote

Phillips Conservation District will be asking voters to vote "For" their proposed bison ordinance they are putting on the June primary ballot.

Ordinance No. 2016-1 is a land use ordinance intended to protect water and soil from wild, free roaming or domestic bison/buffalo grazing in Phillips Conservation District. The ordinance requires that anyone grazing bison in PCD must have a management and conservation plan, adequate forage and water, and a perimeter fence to keep bison/buffalo from leaving the land on which they are placed.
