Cheryl McCorkle

Cheryl McCorkle passed from this life on March 28, 2016 at the Billings Clinic. There will be a viewing Friday night from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Kirkwood funeral home. The funeral will be at the Malta Lutheran Church On Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at the VFW. Cheryl was born November 21, 1955 to Hilbert and Lillian Nordtug.

Cheryl, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend grew up in Malta. Cheryl graduated from Malta High School in 1974.

Cheryl married Larry McCorkle in 1977 and from that union Michael (1978) and Patrick (1982) were born.

Cheryl never let the battle with emphysema and pneumonia stop her. She always made time to spend with her children and grandchildren whenever she could. Being a grandmother brought her a lot of joy. Cheryl loved with all of her heart.

Cheryl was a hard worker, and worked many places throughout her life. She most recently worked at Albertsons where she was known for her kindness, smile, laughter, and brightening the days of the people that she served.

Cheryl will be greatly missed and with her her death a deep hole has been left in the hearts of her loved ones.

Cheryl leaves behind - sons, Mike (Trish) McCorkle of Malta, Patrick (Renee) McCorkle of Helena. Grandchildren, Chase, Evelyn (Evie), Jordan, Jeslyn, Logan, and Hudson; sisters – Cindy (Andy) Wolfe of Newcastle,WY, Luella Wheeler of Hamilton, MT, Lila (Eldon) Wolfe of Hamilton, MT, and Christi (Bill) Barr of Condon, MT; step-father, Jerry Depute of Malta, MT; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Les Nordtug.
