City of Malta Landfill Hours

The Landfill will be open Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed Mondays from noon to 1 p.m. for the lunch hour and closed on Sundays.

Kiwanis Pull-tabs

In the near future Kiwanis will be collecting pull-tabs from aluminum cans. If you have been saving them, please give the pull-tabs to an elementary student or drop them off at the school. Kiwanis gives a prize to the class that collects the most tabs. Funds from the recycled tabs are donated to the Ronald McDonald House.

Grass containers

The grass containers are placed around the city to be used by the elderly or citizens who do not have a pickup to haul their grass clippings to the landfill. Commercial lawn mowing businesses are not to use the grass containers.

LRRN Meeting

5-12. The Little Rockies Recreation Network will be holding a public meeting on Thursday, May 12 at 6 p.m. at the GN Lodge Room. We will be going over our trail map to make sure ALL the trails are on it before it has to be turned in on July 6.

ALA Memorial Day Celebration

5-12. The American Legion Auxiliary Memorial Day Celebration Planning Meeting will be held on May 12 at 5 p.m. at the VFW Club. All ALA members are encouraged to attend along with others in the community who would like to participate.

Walleyes Meeting

5-12. Malta Walleyes Unlimited will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, May 12 starting at 7 p.m. at Stretch’s. Camp Walleye planning. See you there.

Whitewater High School Graduation

5-13. On Friday, May 13, the Whitewater High School Graduation will be held in the high school gymnasium starting at 7 p.m.

Dodson High School Graduation

5-13. The Dodson High School Graduation will be on Friday, May 13 starting at 6 p.m. Dodson School Superintendent Gary Weitz will be the guest speaker.

Spring grazing ends

5-14. CRP participants spring grazing ends on May 14, 2016. All Livestock need to be removed from en-rolled CRP acres by Saturday, May 14. Individuals who completed spring grazing need to submit their CRP 118 form to the Malta FSA office.

PC Fair Board

5-17. The Phillips County Fair Board will hold it's next monthly meeting Tuesday, May 17 at 7 p.m. at the Dodson Fair Grounds. The public is welcome to attend.

Kiwanis Meeting

5-17. Malta Kiwanis will meet on Tuesday, May 17 at 6 p.m. at Westside Cafe. We need to plan for our yummy hamburgers and French fries at the June 4 car show. All hands needed on deck!

MT Veteran Affairs

5-19. On Thursday, May 19, Judy or Steve, service officers for Montana Veteran Affairs, will be at Malta City Hall from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. If you would like to apply for benefits with the VA please come at the appointed time and bring a copy of your discharge/separation (DD214) papers with you. Saco High School Graduation

5-21. On Saturday, May 21, Saco High School will hold its 2016 Graduation starting at noon.

Malta High School Graduation

5-22. On Sunday, May 22, Malta High School will host their 2016 Graduation starting at 2 p.m.

ALA Memorial Day Finalization meeting
