Jim Moore, standing, of the city police department; Carl Green, lower left, of the county sheriff's office and Howard Dopp, city police are checking the bicycle of Chris Schmidt for adjustments. Bicycles and students were checked for performance, mechanical fitness, slow ride, obstacle course and hand directions. The most common defect of the bicycles was no light, bell or rear reflector. 1966.

Mrs. R. Earl Forest entertained the Ladies' Club Wednesday afternoon. Covers were laid for eight.
The school picnic was held Saturday at Camp Creek. The children played many interesting games in which the older ones joined. At one o'clock, a splendid lunch was served. Mrs. Chic Whitcomb and Mrs. Forest took pictures of the crowd. Later in the afternoon, the autos came for the tired, but happy kiddies. We thank Miss Feeney for her interest in the matter and also many thanks to Messrs. Killerman, Whitcomb, Swanson and Goggins for transportation.
