Penguin, Panther girls place at Whitewater meet

The Whitewater Invitational had to be postponed from its original April 28 to last Thursday due to the rain and snow that passed through Phillips County. As a result less teams showed up but the competition was fierce.

Turner also won the girls meet with 146. Whitewater took second with 91. Hays-Lodgepole took third with a score of 43. Opheim took fourth with 41 and Saco took fifth with 24.

Kayleigh Cummings led Whitewater’s Lady Penguins with wins in javelin and shot put. Her throws were 94-10 and 30-10 respectively.
