Art Spot welcomes new board members

Art Spot, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Arts Education program located in Phillips County, Mont., is pleased to announce that Anna LaBrie, the Malta Middle and High School Arts Teacher, has been accepted as the newest member of the board of Art Spot as of August 1, 2016.

In addition to teaching reading at the middle school, Anna teaches the fine arts classes for the middle school and high school students and is the head of the Malta High School Theatre program.

“We are excited to welcome Anna to our board. Her influence with the students in the school and her innovative teaching style will allow her to provide Art Spot and the Phillips County Community with valuable input for the programs for 2017 and the future, said Kathy Bagley, the executive director of Art Spot.

The other members of the Art Spot board are Jane Ereaux, President, and Kate Webb, Vice President. Jane is the owner of the Marian Hills Golf Course and the Tin Cup and an active member of the local Malta Dirt Daubers, as well as being an active member of the Phillips County History Museum’s committee for landscaping for the H G Robinson House.

Kate is an art teacher in the Harlem High School. As Executive Director for Art Spot, Kathy Bagley provides administrative guidance and active fundraising planning for the organization. Kathy is a self-taught portrait artist who provides private art lessons and leads the Cocktails ‘N Canvas, Cupcakes

‘N Canvas, Arts in the Park and County Fair Painting Booth as well as Little Splatters.

Art Spot is actively seeking individuals who are interested in becoming members of the Phillips County Fine Arts Council which it would like to revive to encourage adult, teen, and child participation in various types of arts programs including a dinner theatre and a teen theater.
