One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for September 28, 2016

DON’T FORGET: The Catholic Fall Dinner on Sunday, October 2 starting at 11 a.m. Good cooking and lots of prizes in the raffle!

Polly Solberg went to Ismay this week to visit and help son Nathan and family.

The community was sorry to hear of Thayne Mackey’s sad mishap and wish him the best. Prayers are sent to him and his family for his recovery. He is in Denver, Colo., getting treatment.

The Dodson Cemetery District held a meeting at the Lutheran Church on Sunday.

After getting approx. over 1 ½ inches of rain in the showers this week and the hard frost that stopped the flowers and most other growth it is supposed to warm up some so we can finish cleaning out gardens and yards, getting ready for winter.

Birthday greetings are sent to James Weigand, Cheryl Weaver, Al Minugh, Jon James and Herman Dolphay and everyone else having a birthday this week. Anniversary greetings are sent to Nick and Wendy Hopkins and Robert and Cathy Bear. Hope you have a good one and many more.

T’is the season when you can have rain, snow and sunshine --simultaneously.

There is no pleasure in having nothing to do; the fun is having lots to do and not doing it!

Have a good week!
