One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for October 5, 2016

Four daughters of Elmer Henry’s former Sergeant in the Marine Corps during the second World War visited at Dora Henry’s this week. Very enjoyable and filled with memories and laughter. Heather Nelson of Illinois, Vickie Kerr of Michigan, Rosalinda Karner of Illinois and Christie Gaik of Missouri had been to California to visit an elderly aunt. They stayed overnight at Sandy’s Stagecoach Inn before going on east.

It is good to hear Thayne Mackey is home recovering from his mishap with machinery on his farm. We send him prayers and the hope he continues to recover.

Teri Leys came on Saturday to spend a few days with her mother, Dora Henry. They had hoped to get some work done together while she was here but the rain has sort of interfered. Things are a little wet again.

The Catholic ladies served a delicious fall dinner on Sunday and had some very good prizes for their raffle. It was good that the weather stayed good for the day for their dinner.

Polly Solberg returned home from Ismay on Saturday.

Birthday greetings are sent to Wendy Hopkins, and Charlie Weaver. Anniversary greetings and congratulations are sent to Mark and Serese Pankratz and Jim and Delores Shettel.

Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

Have a happy week.
