One Nation, Under God

Is it time to replace the Electoral College?

Dear Editor,

One million, 500 thousand plus (1,569,824 as reported by AP and still counting) voters went to the poles or sent in their votes by mail to participate in the 2016 presidential election.

Both candidates continually reminded us to get out and vote. But do to an archaic system known as the electoral college the candidate with the lesser votes won the presidential election. Therefore not being the choice of the citizens of the United States eligible voters.

Seems that those who always tell me my vote doesn't count anyway so why bother to vote - were RIGHT!

Perhaps it is time...
