One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for November 30, 2016

11-23. Get well wishes to Pat (Ivanovitch) Donich, who is recuperating from an operation. Pat and family run the lodge near Seely Lake. Pat is Sally Austin’s sister. Pat’s address is Double Arrow Lodge, Box 747, Seely Lake, Mont. 59868. She would appreciate any correspondence.

There was a Veteran’s Day program at Whitewater School with very nice music led by Mrs. Sanguins.

Whitewater Lutheran Church had a delicious Harvest Dinner potluck on Sunday after church. It was a wonderful dinner with turkey, ham, pies and all the trimmings. Many from Malta were in attendance as there was a Church Council Meeting following the meal. Some guests were Dianne Carlsrud, Julie Nagy (Pastor’s wife), Rick Mikkleson and others. All were welcome.

It is Thanksgiving already! Be thankful even if:

1. Your turkey dinner got burned!

2. One of your guest’s children dropped a toy in the potty and plugged the toilet!

3. Ten more people than you planned on showed up for dinner.

Praise the Lord anyway!

Happy Thanksgiving to all (and I hope you didn’t eat too much).

11-30. Get well wishes to Pat (Berg) Tribby, a former Whitewater resident who now lives in Vaughn, Mont.

Many people are traveling over the Thanksgiving holiday. Pat and Bobby Anderson went to to Maryland, by Amtrak, to visit Pam and attend their grandson's wedding. Janice and Curt Reichelt went to Denver, Colo., to visit family.

The North 40 was closed and the managers went to Great Falls during Thanksgiving...it was open again on Friday.

The Hill family went to Texas to spend the holiday with daughter Heidi (former WHS graduate.)

Gale Young, my daughter, will come to get me and so I can go to Saco where she will cook dinner.

Congratulations to my granddaughter, Challise, on placing fifth at the Speech and Drama meet in Conrad. Good job!

There was a basketball tournament here last weekend. Many teams played including North Country, our Mavericks.

The Whitewater Booster Club met and planned a Christmas party for Wednesday, December 14 at North 40 (gifts are optional). They are asked to each bring pies for the Social after the Christmas concert on Thursday, December 15. Time flies.

Have a good week,

Helen
