Malta Walleyes Minutes

Meeting was called to order by President John Demarais with nine members in attendance.

Secretary Sherry Demarais read the minutes of the last two meeting as the one from September was found. A motion was made to approve minutes as read with the correction in October minutes to reflect Pounds changed to Inches and Hillyer to Hillard. Seconded and passed.

Dwight Score gave the treasurer’s report.

Don Pyrah and his wife Tammy from Crooked Creek Chapter were guests at our meeting. Don is also the Region 4 Director and wanted to visit with us and make sure and answer any question we might have from the upcoming legislative bills or anything else.

As stated at the fall meeting in Lewistown the Live Bait Bill will probably be brought back and a proposal for 750,000 trout fingerling to be added to Fort Peck Hatchery. We are keeping a close watch on both of these and if anyone has any questions please feel free to contact Don and he will try to answer your questions or will find out the answers.

Another item brought up is the Zebra Mussels that are invading Tiber R eservoir. Just like the Milfoil we need to make sure to clean, dry and inspect our boats, trailers and pickups so we do not spread any of these.

We will be trying to get this information out as far spread as we can.
