One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for January 11, 2017

Matt and Heidi Cole and two boys came home to visit Wink and Terri Cole a week ago but left early on Saturday to miss the storm. Matt said the roads were already bad in quite a few places. Billings and surrounding area have received an extraordinarily large amount of snow, having deep drifts and piles of snow around in the cities that they are not used to.

Terri Cole was in Malta on Wednesday and Thursday on business.

The community sends condolences and sympathy to the DuBeau and Gilmore families in the death of Darlene.

It continues to stay cold with little let up but hopefully there will be some warmer days soon. One of our old fashioned winters for sure!

Steve and Judy Henry from Laurel drove up to spend a couple days with his mom, Dora Henry. Steve said they had more snow there at Laurel than anywhere between there and Dodson.

The Wathatau Center will be serving lunch on Wednesdays now in 2017 instead of on Thursdays as before. Very good fry bread and chili was served this week (and Kay does make good fry bread!)

Birthday greetings are sent to everyone having a birthday these first ten days of January, especially Cathy Bear, Polly Solberg, Francine KillEagle Stiffarm, Ava Welch, Tyler Weaver and Robert Bear.

Now’s the time to love thy neighbor even more. Maybe he has tools you’d rather borrow than buy.

Everyone remember to dress warmly and take care----Have a wonderful if cold week.
