One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for January 18, 2017

There was a pretty good snow on Monday. Most snow we have had yet this winter—stayed very cold though. Started snowing on Tuesday again.

Polly Solberg was in Malta on Tuesday for meetings. Terri Cole was in Havre on Wednesday.

Robbie Bear has been kept busy clearing streets for several days. Thanks to Robbie for his work on the streets and the snow thereon.

Dora Henry attended the COA meeting in Malta on Wednesday. We had a farewell for Darlene Pugh who has resigned from council and has moved to Fort Benton. She will be sorely missed for all the help she has given to help the elderly.

Good luck to the girls and boys basketball teams as they get into their season.

Former residents Nellie Sherman and Betty Munson wanted to wish everyone Hello for 2017 and to take care in the cold.

Polly Solberg went to Billings on Friday to visit family and to watch grandson Devon in speech competition at Huntley Project. Devon took first in his Humorous solo.

It warmed up some on Saturday and Sunday but still has a long way to go.

The Lutheran congregation had quite a shock when they came to services on Sunday, to find their furnace was not working on this cold morning. (The church was very cold but thank heavens not froze up yet). The trouble seemed to be the batteries in the thermostat and getting them replaced the furnace started working. Truly a blessing it was Sunday and time for services so it was discovered.

Anniversary greetings are sent to Wes and Iris KillEagle. Birthday greetings are sent to all having a birth-day this week, especially Joe KillEagle, Jeanette Daniels, Jerry Weigand and Helen Vogel.

Some of us used to dream of the day we might be earning the salary we’re struggling on now.

Have a good week and please stay warm!!
