Phillips County Sheriff's Report for February 1, 2017

January 14 through 20

Please remember to file a new burn permit for the 2017 year. If you plan on doing any burning in 2017, please file one BEFORE you start to burn. These permits are good for all of 2017 and you only have to file one a year, not every time you burn. All 2016 permits will no longer be valid after December 31, 2016. Thank you!

Check out our website: http://www.phillipscountysheriff.org and our Facebook page, Phillips County Sheriff’s Office. Our Facebook page does give reports of scams and other important information as needed to get to the public.

Several calls have been received requesting road reports. Please remember to call 511, 1-800-226-ROAD (7623) or use these websites: http://www.mdt.mt.gov/travelinfo or http://www.phillipscountysheriff.org.

Please be advised the Phillips Co Sheriff’s Office is no longer doing GVW Term or Trip permits. You can access these permits by going to http://www.mdt.mt.gov, then go to Doing Business-Commercial Motor Carriers-Permitting. Or you can call 406-444-7262, with questions.
