One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for March 22, 2017

Get well wishes to Jahmiah Huffman-LaBrie and Bruce Hill, both of Whitewater.

Many from here went to basketball games in Billings including Patty Young.

Whitewater had a heavy snowfall, about 2-feet of it. Hellies and other used snowplows and Steve Young shoveled my sidewalk. It is good to have helpful neighbors.

Welcome back to Fred Allery Sr., his sister Marlene and her daughter, Wanda! They moved back from Chinook back to the ranch south of Whitewater.

The Whitewater senior class of 2017 went on a “Senior Sneak” trip to Florida! What fun! The Cummings chaperoned. In 1958, when my class went to Helena, Mont., we thought that was a great, fun trip.

Congratulations to Hannah Hanley for winning the spelling bee in Whitewater.

There was an 80th birthday party for Bill Murdock at Pat and Jim Murdock’s for Bill’s family.

Margie Olson said, “we are getting baby calves, already! The recent snow really surprises them.”

It seems like it is early for the calving, but they have good barns which helps.

Linda Berg said her nephew, Riley Kornfeld, is the coach of the Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, hockey team. Colt Kornfeld is a player. “Good luck,” team! Colt is Brenda Murdock's son.

Whitewater Community thanks the “snow angels” for plowing snow and also removing it.

When driving, be careful!

Helen Austin
