One Nation, Under God

Whitewater Rural News for July 27, 2017

Nancy Jesson, her son, Ron and wife Barbara, from Ohio visited several days in the area last week. Her son Bill and wife Rana (Lefdahl) Jesson hosted a birthday party one afternoon in Whitewater. The Jesson family also visited Rana's family Vic and Mary Lefdahl at the Sleeping Buffalo, went to the Anderson – Obie wedding, and drove to the old Rusty Brown farm where the Jessons lived several years ago to visit with Lynn and Bruce Hill. Rain and small hail came fast and furious on the 11th bringing an inch of moisture, but also taking down some large branches at the Anderson and Murdock farms.

Temperatures have been hot and crops are pretty short. Zelda Fox, her dad Bill Murdock, Ree Simonson and Margie Olsen had lunch with Jim and Pat Murdock last Sunday afternoon. Jim has been laid up with a knee injury.

Hector Murdock has been helping his uncle, J.W. Murdock with haying south of Malta.

The Becky and Ed Anderson family have moved to Glasgow. We hope them all the best.

Diane Engel, Lu Besel, Patty Young and Pat Murdock were among those attending the Antique and Flower Show at the H.G. Robinson House last weekend. There were so many interesting items to view or buy.

Dawn and Randy Stenvik had many visitors at their farm east of town to help the couple celebrate their 50th birthdays on July 15.

Lacey Beil and Billie Sky Ozark drove to Ely, Nev. on the 15th to see their cousin Kathy, daughter of Jess and Becky Murdock.

Lots of weddings this summer!
