One Nation, Under God

Loring News for September 20, 2017

Last week of summer, and what a summer we had! But now with the cooler temps and even a bit of rain, the heat seems to be in the past, for now.

A couple of great horned owls stopped in our yard today! They can eat the mice with my blessings but please leave my little birds alone! The flickers, robins, and finches are still hanging around too. It makes for some fun movements!

Trace and Beau Simonson had a wonderful cheering section at the football game for homecoming, grandma and grandpa Hallock, Kourtney Simonson, Krystal Olson and her kids, Shon and Amy and their kids, and of course their parents and Leroy and Gale Simonson! I listened on KMMR and it was a good win! Congrats to Trey Simanton also from WHS!

Kiana Simonson, of the U of M rodeo team, placed in the barrels at the college rodeo in Glendive this weekend. Way to go!

I also saw Kayla Howard at the volleyball game in Whitewater on Saturday! She is attending college in Great Falls. Larimie Scheffelmear was celebrating her birthday there also!

Speaking of Volleyball, the Mavericks beat the Poplar Indians in three which was wonderful to watch. Kia Wasson plays on the team from Whitewater.

Steve and Fran Noreen of Cut Bank were here to watch Kia's games. They looked good! I guess the smoke didn't get too bad at Cut Bank.

Sympathy is extended to Cindy Clark on the loss of her aunt in Minnesota.

I'm looking forward to a little more precipitation.
