Malta Duplicate Bridge

On Monday, September 25, Billie Rae Maxie and Madelyn Anderson earned first place. Mary LaFond and Margo Rush tied with Bob Maxie and Bonnie Miller for second place.

Wednesday winners were Bonnie Miller and Lois Goodheart. Margo Rush and Malcolm Clouse were awarded second.

Whist

On Tuesday, September 26, Nina Jones tallied 6,690 for first place, Jerry Depute scored 6,210 to finish in second and the traveling prize was awarded to Leonard Leader.

On Thursday, September 28, Malcolm Clouse scored 6,220 to take first place and Lou Olson scored 6,070 to take second. The traveling prize was awarded to Sherman Doucette and Lou Olson.

Hi-Line Whist

On Tuesday, September 26, the duo of Gloria and Clara notched a 13-10 win over Pearl and Deloris.

“They were great,” Pearl admitted.

On Friday, September 29, Pearl and Agnes won each of the four games played on the day, 13-5, 15-7, 16-5 and 13-7, to sweep the action.

“The games were short and sweet,” Pearl reported. “Cards weren’t that important, however, and we pray that Curt will be back with us soon.”
