One Nation, Under God

Loring News for November 15, 2017

Congratulations to Lindy and Krystina who got married at Whitewater Lutheran Church Saturday and had their reception at the Loring Hall. Happy marriage!

The Whitewater senior class sponsored a turkey bingo on Thursday. The cafeteria was full! And guess what...I won a turkey! There were prizes, chickens, ham, and turkeys. It was preceded by a soup dinner with cornbread, buns, and pie!

On Friday the junior high and jamboree Mavericks played basketball against the Dodson students.

The gym was quite full, the games were good. The Mavericks won some and the Coyotes won some! The freshman class served dinner of taco soup which was delicious!

The young mothers at the Lutheran Church are teaching Sunday school after church. There's a small area set up in the basement for a children's area with pillows, books, a few toys, etc.

Kiana Simonson and family have been in Las Vegas at the Indian National Finals Rodeo this past week! Thanks for representing northern Phillips County!

I noticed a new addition to Loring at the North Country Repair shop! Kenny put up a car hood over the walk-in door as an awning! It is upcycling at its finest!

Steve and Fran Noreen of Cut Bank spent a few days with the TJ Wasson family this week.

Kyle Briggs and family of Park City/Laurel area have been visiting at the Pete Lumsden home this weekend for hunting. Mike Briggs of Billings is also hunting there. The fog has been so thick I don't know how they could possibly see a deer, but maybe they were lucky in those times when it lightened up. We should have lots of rain or snow for 90 days!

In the early morning, Venus will cross the path of Jupiter, almost like the two planets are meeting. It is special because most of the time it is not visible.
