One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for January 17, 2018

The cold seems to like us for as long as it is staying around. One does see some sun once in a while now though. This morning for the first time in quite a while the thermometer read 28 degrees ABOVE zero. It seemed nice but about noon it started to snow but only for a short time and the sun was out again. Rob is still kept busy plowing snow --we seem to have a little more falling on most days.

It is hard to get around for all the snow piled up on the edges---no place to put it and you had better not get out too far and get into it, it is hard to see and easy to get stuck.

Lunch was canceled at the Wathatau Center on Wednesday because of the snowpack and some of the road was blown in.

Terri Cole has braved the roads to go to Malta a couple times and has delivered mail to a few people. Thank heavens for four-wheel drives.

Polly Solberg had hoped to go to Laurel for a speech meet her grandson Devon was in, she did not make it but Devon won first again with his Humorous Solo speech. She also heard that her step-granddaughter, Katie Henneberry, who now lives in Chicago, had auditioned for the Apollo Choir, had been accepted as the second soprano, starting in September. Congratulations.

Birthday wishes are sent to Helen Voegel and Neil Cole and all others celebrating birthdays this week. Anniversary greetings go to Scott and Tammy Wyse.

Man sometimes forgives, Nature never forgives, God always forgives.

Have a wonderful week and stay warm.
