One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News and Opinion for January 24, 2018

Meeting at the Lutheran Church on Friday for a workday of Quilting by the Border were Sue Olson, Dawn Stenvick, Rena Math, Lu Besel, Carol Lunsden, Susie Higgins and Rhonda Bergtol. The club will have a barbeque pork sandwich dinner at the Nashua basketball games on January 26 as a fundraiser for upcoming projects. (Submitted by Lu Besel.)

Sympathy to families of Fred Soennichsen and Max Hansonal.

FYI: Beware of scams! If you are receiving bills that are invalid and/or you know you do not owe, Do Not Pay the Bills! (I get lots of scam letters so I am experienced.)

Saco High School had Senior Night at the basketball game. Challise Young (my granddaughter) is a senior. I was honored and proud to walk with Challise, Gale (her mother) and Monte Broadbrooks as Saco High recognized Challise! I am so proud of her, but I can’t believe Challise is a senior.

Time flies.

Many “snowbirds” have gone south for the winter, but some brave little birds are still here in Whitewater. One little jackrabbit is also here. Let’s hope it warms up. Think spring!
