On Thursday, May 22, Clarence Blunt took first, Malcolm Clouse had second place and Clarence Blunt and Jeanette Heinle shared the traveling prize.

On Thursday, May 31, Kevin Stevens was top dog with a score of 6,320 while Noel Emond was second 6,150. The travel prize was award to Harvey Smith.

Hi-Line Whist

On Tuesday, May 22, Pearl and Francis took two out of three (13-7, 10-15, and 14-0) to rule the day.

“We were all doing great when that little skunk came in the end and said his goodbye,” Pearl said.

On Friday, May 25, Pearl and Clara won the first two games, 13-8 and 13-12, before Francis and Lois got in the winner’s column with a 14-9 victory.

On Tuesday, May 29, Pearl and Francis won game one before Clara won game two (13-8 and 16-8 respectively.)

“We just outdid each other and we were all glad,” Pearl reported.

On Friday, June 1, Pearl and Clara pitched a 15-0 shutout, won the second game 15-2 before Lois and Francis won the final frame in a 14-8 romp.

“That little skunk let us have it again,” Pearl said.
