One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News and Opinion for June 20, 2018

Sympathy to the family of June Eklund, who was living at the Hi-Line Retirement Center in Malta.

Get well wishes to Eunice Simonson who is now home in Billings. There was a meet and great party at the North 40 for Tessa Olson and her fiancé Chris. They will be married in a few weeks.

Congratulations to them! Tessa’s mom is Nancy Olson and her grandmother is Marjorie Olson of Whitewater.

Late congratulations to all June birthdays that I missed last week including Janet Berg, former WHS grad and retired teacher.

Saturday, my granddaughter Chalise took me to Malta. We went to rummage sales and they are so much fun. Chalise is going to a camp and also working at McDonalds in Glasgow on a part time basis this summer.

Bruce and Lyn Hill are part time managers of the Little Rockies Christian Camp where they have a teepee camp which Sommer Green will attended. The family camp is in September, Labor Day weekend. It’s nice.

The Little Rockies camp was formally a Farmer’s Union Camp. Several of us kids from Whitewater attended at different times, years ago.

There are also 4-H camps. I’m not sure where now. Call the Phillips County Extension Agent or Local 4-H leaders for more info. 4-Hers are already preparing animals and projects for the fair.

The Hellies have had lambs and chickens in their yards, as projects.

There are lots of dogs in the town of Whitewater. Sometimes they are problems.

Late happy father’s day to all dads and grandads.

Enjoy summer, everyone.
