Carl Wolden is among Phillips County boys who recently enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Police Judge Harry Cosner had entered the 191st case on the police blotter. Since Malta had recently become a “city of the third class,” ordinances were being enforced. Street fights, drunkenness, carrying concealed weapons and creating disturbances were chief crimes committed.
