Loring News for August 15, 2018

August 15, 2018

Blessings to all the teachers and students who start back to school this week, especially the Whitewater Penguins!

I drove to Billings on Wednesday for a few days of appointments and visiting! David and Brandie showed off their new house and the progress along with Rick Stordahl my nephew, who designed it. They may get to move in sometime in September!

The Pete Lumsdens, Jay Blunts, Matt Norville's and John and Ruth Flansaas traveled to Fort Peck to the theater at watch The Little Mermaid! They reported that it was fantastic!

Orvin Solberg was the speaker at church on Sunday. He is now the full-time pastor at the Elim Lutheran in Malta but is still keeping us on his schedule. Cindy Clark is the lay pastor of the Loring Lutheran and will be giving the lesson on Sunday the 19th.

This is the first year that I have seen American kestrels in our trees. They are a brightly colored hawk which are causing some havoc among our bird population. I hope they are getting some mice too!

Don't forget our Fall dance on October 6 with Hard Rock Country music! We are raffling a Traeger and an echo spot. Mark it on your calendar!
