Malta Elementary School adds new staff for 2018-19 school year

Shae Bishop, Kori Kindle, Trinity Raymond, Nancy Murdock, and Janine Tuss are the new additions to the Malta Elementary School teaching staff this year. The following are quick "get-to-know them surveys."

Name: Shae Bishop

Hometown: Billings, Mont.

Position at Malta: First grade teacher.

High School & Grad Year: West High, 2012.

University or College, year grad and degree: MSUB, 2017, Elementary Ed with a concentration in early childhood

Last teaching job, where, when and what position: My last teaching position was in Billings, MT. I taught 1st grade at Orchard Elementary.

Hobbies: I love spending my free time outdoors. Fishing, camping, and hiking are definitely my favorite hobbies. I also enjoy cooking, working out, and spending time with my friends and family.

Favorite Food: Spaghetti.

What I did this summer: I spent most of my summer moving to Malta and getting settled. I also visited Mexico with my fiancé and spent 5 days on the beach.

Name: Trinity Raymond

Hometown: Malta, Mont.

Position at Malta: 4th grade teacher, 4&5th grade science High School & Grad Year: Malta High School, class of 2003.

University or College, year grad and degree: I graduated from MSU-Northern in 2008 with a degree in Elementary Education.

Last teaching job, where, when and what position: For the last 5 years I was a 4th grade teacher in Harlem. Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my family. We like to go camping and attend sporting events. I also enjoy working on the ranch with my family.

Favorite Food: Pizza.

What I did this summer: We enjoyed spending time together as a family and attended a family reunion. I also helped my children with their 4-H animals.

Name: Janine Tuss

Hometown: Dodson, Mont. Position at Malta: Kindergarten teacher.

High School & Grad Year: Dodson High School, class of 1991.

University or College, year grad and degree: : I graduated from MSU-Northern in 2000 with Elementary Education, Reading minor degree.

Last teaching job, where, when and what position: Been teaching for 16 years. First 10 years in Round Mountain NV as 1st grade teacher. I taught in Roundup MT for six years in 3rd and 1st grades prior to moving to Malta in June 2017.

Hobbies: Fishing, hunting, golf, and gold prospecting. Favorite Food: Prime rib.

What I did this summer: I was assistant swim team coach and spent time following kids to sports and activities.

Favorite song (and by whom): "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison.

Name: Kori Kindle

Hometown: Malta, Mont. Position at Malta: First grade teacher

High School & Grad Year: Malta High School, 2012.

University or College, year grad and degree: I graduated from MSU Billings in 2015 with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in reading.

Last teaching job, where, when and what position: I taught in Harlem for one year as a 6th grade teacher in 2017-2018.

Hobbies: Running, reading, hanging out with my friends. Favorite Food: Spaghetti.

What I did this summer: I worked at Marian Hills golf course with the superintendent/greens keeper.

Favorite song (and by whom): "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Name: Nancy Mudock

Hometown: Malta, Mont.

Position at Malta: 4Choral Music position.

High School & Grad Year: Wyoming High School in Cincinnati, Ohio 1975.

University or College, year grad and degree: Miami University of Ohio 1979

Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Last teaching job, where, when and what position: Whitewater Music K-12 vocal, instrumental and general. Started the music program in Whitewater, 1979 to 2011. Hobbies: Reading, taking walks, traveling, spending time with family.

Favorite Food: Love trying new restaurants, especially seafood.

What I did this summer: I was store manager for the Bozeman Eckroth Music store from 2011 to the week before school started. Took a trip to Seattle, moved back to Malta and started school the next day.

Favorite song (and by whom): I enjoy many genres of music, from classical to jazz to folk to Broadway. Hard to pick just one.
